Avon offers paved recreational paths around Nottingham Park, along Eagle River and throughout town, as well as dirt single-track trails on the northwest side of town in the West Avon Preserve. The paved pathways and dirt trails provide opportunities to walk, jog or bike while enjoying the mountain landscape. The Performance Pavilion at H. A. Nottingham Park is a year-round cultural and entertainment venue that hosts festivals, concerts, art exhibitions, theater performances and private events.
 
Nottingham Park - This beautiful park in Avon offers 48 acres of scenic, open space for outdoor recreation. The park features paths for walking, jogging, biking and in-line skating, a 9-hole disk golf course, a playground, two athletic fields, three tennis courts, basketball courts and a softball field. In the summer, enjoy fishing, paddle-boating, stand-up-paddle boarding, and swimming in the lake or relaxing on the sandy beach. You'll also find two sand volleyball courts next to the beach on the north side of the lake, picnic tables and BBQ grills.
